The Green New Deal implies profound economic and social transformations that are not limited to just the energy transition and the fight against climate change but also entail a new economic and employment development strategy and the redistribution of wealth.
To achieve such objectives it is fundamental to promote a new model based on decentralized and distributed technologies and business models, where the "on the edge devices", in general IoT solutions, play a key role in building a new industrial infrastructure based on public owned infrastructures and Self Sovereign Identity and Privacy aware software solutions.
The main actions are:
* digitalisation of the electricity grid (smart grids)
* incentives for the spreading of renewables as quickly and extensively as possible both in society and in the industrial processes
* incentives for storage and for renewable energy production (batteries, hydrogen, hydroelectric, etc.)
* incentives for sustainable electric mobility based on renewable energy sources and charging stations
* commons and collective awareness
* decentralized governance and disposable identities
